Indian Health Services (IHS) was looking for a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for its Oklahoma City Area Health System, which provides health care services to more than 281,000 American Indians through seven hospitals and 40 outpatient health centers in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.

IHS is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and manages all American Indian health facilities in the United States. TMA Systems and IHS determined that TMA’s web-based maintenance management software, WebTMA, would be the best solution for Oklahoma City Area Health System’s locations.

WebTMA enables IHS to comply with government regulations by maintaining records of preventive maintenance tasks. These records help ensure that the facilities meet JCAHO and HIPPA requirements and provide safe and sanitary environments for IHS patients and staff.

Through one integrated solution, IHS managers now can manage both their clinical engineering and facilities maintenance operations. The scalable, web-based software allows IHS managers to access information via any standard web browser from any location at any time.

Worldwide, more than 1,300 TMA clients maintain more than 37,000 facilities, representing 2.5 billion square feet of space. TMA provides CMMS solutions for institutions in many markets, including health care, education and the public sector.
