The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has developed a suite of tools to help managers quantify the benefits of environmentally preferable product choices. The guide, "Promoting Green Purchasing: Tools and Resources to Quantify the Benefits of Environmentally Preferable Purchasing," is designed to help federal offices meet some of the challenges of green purchasing by identifying a series of existing tools and resources they can use to help develop quantitative estimates of the projected benefits of making new environmentally preferable purchase choices and document the estimated benefits of past purchases.
