Philadelphia — May 9, 2016 — Wright Commissioning, the Philadelphia region’s first independent, MBE building commissioning firm, announced that it has been selected to retro-commission the HVAC systems for the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J.
“Rowan needed retro-commissioning services to optimize the performance of Henry M. Rowan Hall’s nearly 20-year-old building systems,” said Kim Wright, CEO, Wright Commissioning. “As home to multiple engineering disciplines, it is critical that Rowan Hall’s HVAC systems perform as efficiently and sustainably as possible.”
Rowan Hall was a state-of-the-art facility when it opened in 1998, with resource channels for technology, gases, and liquids; flexible teaching labs outfitted with potable smart benches; and significant sustainable features within its nearly 100,000-square-foot structure.
As with all complex, retro-commissioning projects, Wright Commissioning will review the existing operations and maintenance; interview users of the building; physically test the systems under a variety of extreme conditions; make adjustments and implement corrective actions; and issue a report with recommendations to further optimize the building.
The commissioning report on Rowan Hall is expected to be issued in the fall 2016.
