Wireless Irrigation Sensor Aims To Boost Water Conservation

The SP-110 wireless irrigation sensor, from Spiio, enables a new data dimension for smart irrigation. The unit includes four sensors: soil moisture, temperature, light, and nutrients. The sensor integrates with various smart controllers, allowing for full automation. The sensor comes with an IP69K grading and has a battery life of up to 6 years. About 60 percent of water used for irrigation is lost due to evapotranspiration or inefficient watering methods, better data is essential to combating water shortages.
