WSP + ccrd, is opening a new office at 301 E Pine Street, Suite 1020, Orlando, FL, 32801. An affiliate of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization, WSP + ccrd has built a solid reputation for innovative, cost-effective mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering solutions, but is best known for its healthcare, laboratory and research facilities.
“The new Orlando location will enable the buildings group to offer enhanced services to clients throughout central Florida, expanding our network of critical healthcare engineering expertise,” said Rick Rome, executive vice president and southeast region leader at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.
The Orlando buildings practice offers comprehensive integrated building engineering services, including mechanical/electrical/plumbing design and an array of specialist building consulting services for hospitals and other facilities. In the central Florida area, WSP + ccrd is currently designing an expansion project at Lee Memorial Gulf Coast Medical Center, where the firm had previously completed a large expansion in 2009. WSP + ccrd is also working on several other projects in various stages of construction in Panama City, Fort Walton Beach, and Pensacola. The firm also has an office in Miami.
The Orlando buildings practice will be led by two long-time employees who are relocating from Dallas, Nathan Boepple, vice president and April Woods, a senior associate.
Mr. Boepple has been involved in the design and construction administration for a wide variety of projects. His project management experience extends from project conception through construction documents and into construction administration, including both field and collaborative BIM coordination. He has led teams on several large, complex healthcare projects across the country, including the MD Anderson Pavilion expansion in Houston that opened in 2016 after nearly six years of planning and construction.
A licensed electrical engineer, Mr. Boepple received a bachelor of science degree in architectural engineering from Kansas State University. He received one of Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine’s “40 Under 40” Awards in 2013.
Ms. Woods has played a key role in engineering mechanical solutions for major healthcare projects over the past decade. Her collaborative mindset has made her a valued team member on several integrated projects resulting in high performing buildings. In addition to her role as project manager, she has considerable expertise in sustainable design, and has presented on green building concepts at a variety of conferences and symposiums. A licensed mechanical engineer, Ms. Woods earned her masters of science and bachelors of science degrees in architectural engineering from Kansas State University. She received one of Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine’s “40 Under 40” Awards in 2012.
In addition to the buildings practice, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff provides transportation and infrastructure services from Orlando.
