Portland, Oreg. — June 16, 2016 — Ventacity Systems was awarded Passive House Certification for its new VS1000RT product by the Passive House Institute. The certification was presented June 13 at the Annual North American Passive House Conference NAPHN16 event.
The VS1000RT is a high-performance rooftop Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) that can be installed during new building construction or as a retrofit. It is designed for commercial building types including office, retail, schools churches, and restaurants.
The Passive House standards certify that the system goes above and beyond typical energy efficiency standards and is built to the highest quality, while also providing a high level of comfort to building occupants.
“This product is transformational for the North American Passive House market,” said Witta Ebel of the Passive House Institute. “The North American market has been waiting for a product like this that is certified by Passive House Institute . . . to the highest standards of quality and performance in the industry.”
Sal D’Auria, Ventacity Systems president and CEO, was a featured speaker at the NAPHN16 conference, introducing the VS1000RT to architects, engineers, consultants, HVAC contractors, and the greater high-efficiency building community.
