Torque Screwdriver Offers Enhanced Versatility

Emerson is expanding its Greenlee hand tool offering with a new torque screwdriver set and a 11-in-1 screwdriver. The torque screwdriver helps prevent fires and other hazards caused by improperly torqued connections.

Torque Screwdriver
The torque screwdriver (0153-46T) sufficiently tightens connections to comply with the new 2017 National Electric Code (110.14D), where a calibrated tool is required to achieve a specified numeric torque value. The torque driver in the set is calibrated within tolerance according to ASME B107.300-2010. The kit is stored in a compact, durable case with bit sizes printed inside the case for easy identification. The new torque screwdriver set includes a dozen popular Phillips and Slotted 3-1/2 inch and 6-inch shank sized screwdriver bits and seven preferred 6-inch shank sized nut drivers.

“Using a conventional screwdriver involves a great amount of torqueing guesswork,” said Kay Stanish, Director of Marketing for Greenlee, Emerson. “Torque ratings have become the safety standard and upgrading to a torque screwdriver set is the most effective way to prevent the weak connections that can be dangerous.”

Multi-Tool Driver 11-in-1
The new 11-in-1 is a multi-functional screwdriver (0153-47C), reduces the number of tools needed for a job. The bits are stored in the shank for quick and easy accessibility. The bits in the set include:

  • Phillips head: #1 and #2
  • Slotted head: 3/16-inch and 1/4-inch
  • Square head: #1 and #2
  • TORX® T10 and T15
  • Nutdriver 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch and 3/8-inch
