The Architectural Team: Boston Design Firm Earns 2015 Paul E. Tsongas Awards from Preservation Massachusetts

April 15, 2015 — The Architectural Team announced that eight of the firm's adaptive reuse developments have earned 2015 Paul E. Tsongas Awards from Preservation Massachusetts.

The design and master planning firm is widely regarded as a leader in transforming decommissioned historic buildings into exciting spaces and new facilities for multifamily, commercial, healthcare, mixed-use, and more, while preserving the iconic architectural forms and details of these beloved historic structures.

The Architectural Team's portfolio of historic adaptive reuse projects spans more than three decades, during which time the firm's partners have developed a reputation for collaborative excellence among the developers, engineers, contractors, and client groups with whom they work. The Tsongas Awards celebrate these partnerships and broad team efforts, recognizing the entire team for each project.

An iconic waterfront warehouse at Boston's Lovejoy Wharf, recently transformed into corporate headquarters for footwear manufacturer Converse, provides a unique example of the power of these broad partnerships. The Lovejoy waterfront redevelopment is one of the projects receiving honors.

The following projects led by The Architectural Team are also being honored:

• The Voke Lofts, Worcester

• Ames Privilege, Chicopee

• Rice Silk Mill Apartments, Pittsfield

• Washington Park Apartments, Roxbury

• Wayne at Blue Hill, Boston-Roxbury and Dorchester

• Chestnut Park Apartments, Holyoke

• Outing Park, Springfield
