Stiles: Company Wins 2 TOBY Awards at BOMA Southern Regional Competition

Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Palm Beach, Fla. — April 13, 2016 — Stiles Property Management, a division of full-service real estate firm Stiles, recently won two regional TOBY (The Outstanding Building Of the Year) awards for 2015-2016 at the BOMA Southern Region award ceremony held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami, Fla.

Plaza at Las Olas in downtown Fort Lauderdale won in the "Under 100,000 square feet" category and Legacy Place in Palm Beach Gardens won in the "Retail Property" category.

Including the two new awards, Stiles Property Management has won a total nine TOBY awards in 2015 for buildings it manages.

"Commercial property management is about driving value for clients and properties, and these awards demonstrate how our quality programs, such as sustainability and hurricane protection, as well as our talented people help to drive positive results," said Chris Rotolo, president, Stiles Property Management said.

Plaza at Las Olas is located at 301 East Las Olas Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The property — Stiles' owned and managed corporate headquarters — was originally built as a two-story structure in the 1940s. The building has been renovated four times over the last eight decades and has become a landmark on the boulevard.

With its most recent renovation, the office building earned LEED certification while being transformed into a contemporary and functional Class A office space boasting nine stories, clean lines, a crisp façade, and nightclub on the ground floor.

Legacy Place, located at 11290 Legacy Ave., is a retail center that comprises more than 424,513 square feet of retail space directly across from Downtown at the Gardens.

The TOBY Awards are the most prestigious and coveted awards of their kind in the commercial real estate industry. The awards recognize superiority in office and industrial buildings and reward excellence in building management. During the review process, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated — from community involvement and site management to environmental and green policies and procedures.

Stiles is a full-service commercial real estate firm whose services include development, construction, architecture, property management, leasing and brokerage, tenant project management, acquisitions, and real estate fund management. The company is responsible for more than 43 million square feet of office, residential, industrial, retail and mixed-use projects throughout Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee.
