ServiceChannel Founders to Launch New SaaS Venture
ServiceChannel, the leading SaaS platform and online marketplace for facilities management, announced that company co-founders Steven Gottfried and Serge Lubensky are leaving the company to launch a new technology investment firm, Re:Tool Ventures. This new company will focus on commercial facilities and contractor applications that extend the value of the ServiceChannel platform, which Gottfried and Lubensky created more than a decade ago.
Re:Tool Ventures will mark the third company that Gottfried and Lubensky have started together over the past 25 years. Gottfried, the former CEO of ServiceChannel, most recently was Managing Director of innovation lab ServiceChannel Ventures (SCV). Lubensky has been ServiceChannel’s Chief Technology Officer, and most recently spearheaded the company’s European expansion from its London office. Gottfried will remain on ServiceChannel’s board of directors.
“Steven and Serge have had enormous positive impact on the facilities maintenance and commercial contractor industries over the past 25 years,” stated Tom Bonnel, Board Member at the Professional Retail Store Maintenance (PRSM) Association. “The foundation they built at ServiceChannel has enabled a more efficient “way of life” for leading facilities managers and contractors, helping to optimize millions of transactions and billions of dollars of spend.”
“The industry has gained a tremendous amount from Serge’s and Steven’s vision and innovation,” stated ServiceChannel CEO, Tom Buiocchi. “We look forward to working closely with them to extend the innovation they started with ServiceChannel, and to help facilities managers and contractors transition to an increasingly data-driven and automated approach.”
“We are as excited and passionate about the industry as ever,” commented Steven Gottfried. “ServiceChannel is in terrific shape and we intend to help it evolve and expand its solution footprint in the marketplace with complementary applications and new avenues of innovation.”
