Energy savings from the facility updates will pay for the project over a 15-year period
DALLAS –– Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, today announced the successful completion of a turnkey facility improvement project as part of an energy savings performance contract (ESPC) with the Savannah R-III School District in Savannah, Mo. With the completion of the more than $1.1 million in renovations, the district is expected to receive more than $90,000 in annual energy savings, allowing the project to pay for itself within a 15-year period. District facilities are significantly more efficient as a result of the retrofits Schneider Electric implemented during this project.
Increasing the energy efficiency and functionality of the district’s facilities was a key objective for this project, which will be met through the implementation of Schneider Electric’s SmartStruxure solution, an integrated building management system; mechanical replacements; building lighting retrofits and light sensors; and replacement of doors and windows. Additionally, the district was able to replace and upgrade lighting for the high school football field to provide a safer environment for school and community events. The renovations also included the installation of a new fire suppression system for the kitchens in nearly all the district’s facilities, enabling the district to meet several safety and insurance requirements.
