SRP Highest in U.S. with Business Customers

In a report by J.D. Power and Associates, Salt River Project scored highest in customer satisfaction for business electric service among large electricity providers in the western United States.  SRP also scored highest in the nation in customer satisfaction for business for the second consecutive year and now has scored highest in customer satisfaction for business electric service in the West three consecutive years.

SRP’s overall customer-satisfaction index was 741 of a possible 1,000 in the 2012 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study.  SRP rated highest in the nation in five of the six customer-satisfaction factors – power quality and reliability, billing and payment, corporate citizenship, price, and customer service.  SRP also finished second in communications in the nation.

The rankings from the J.D. Power and Associates study are based on interviews with representatives of more than 24,000 U.S. businesses that spend more than $250 monthly on electricity.  The western region covers Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

SRP is the largest provider of electricity to the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, providing service to nearly 950,000 customers.  SRP also is the metropolitan area’s largest supplier of water, delivering about 1 million acre-feet to agricultural, urban and municipal water users.
