Redesigned Office Furniture and Occupancy Comfort

HBF’s collaborative seating solution, MOD, has been expanded with standard sizing options to accommodate any and all environments and complement the previously launched MOD, deep version. Created for HBF by award-winning Swedish designer Henrik Schulz, the MOD Lounge Collection embodies a humanistic approach towards the workplace, crafting a piece that looks and feels at home in a range of public and private spaces. HBF is further developing the seating line, which currently offers a full selection of sofas, settees, lounge chairs, benches, and ottomans with a modular sensibility.

Expanding on MOD’s original, deep lounge configuration, which features a depth of 37.5 inches, the MOD standard lounge offers a narrower depth at 31.5 inches. The line allows for a variety of customizable seating arrangements, from benches and sofas to lounge chairs and ottomans. MOD’s sleek, metal legs are designed to seamlessly join with different seating parts while modular components allow for endless configurable design opportunities. With an all-wood frame, MOD is solid but movable, adapting to the user’s preferred environment. The seating cushion is made with three layers of varying density foam that is topped with down to allow for multiple seating positions, ultimate comfort, and lasting durability. MOD pairs perfectly with laptop tables and low occasional tables, allowing for work or leisure. Ideal for active productivity beyond the desk, any particular unit within MOD can be equipped with power underneath the seat or adjacent to the leg, inset slightly for convenience.

MOD is available as a Lounge Chair, Two-Seat Settee, Three-Seat Sofa, One-Seat Bench, Two-Seat Bench, Three-Seat Bench, Ottoman, Modular Corner Unit, and Modular Chair. The sofa, settee, and chair are all available with or without arms. The cushions can be upholstered in any HBF Textiles fabric/leather or COM and have two distinct upholstery areas for individually specified choices. MOD’s legs come standard in powder-coated finishes (black, white, or light grey) and are offered in a variety of metal finishes as well (polished chrome, satin chrome, antique bronze, and antique brass).
