Real Estate App Offers Enhanced Productivity

Workframe, a collaboration and communication platform purpose-built for commercial real estate (CRE) teams, has announced the launch of its iOS mobile application. The app, which integrates seamlessly with Workframe’s desktop application, incorporates tools to allow on-the-go professionals to communicate and execute tasks with team members in real time, significantly bolstering Workframe’s value proposition to facilities professionals.

Founded in 2016, Workframe provides users with a portfolio-level view of initiatives, giving them unprecedented visibility into their workflow, and presenting them with actionable data that can be leveraged to drive efficiency and cost savings. With its powerful functionality, Workframe has attracted a client roster that includes large corporate tenants, landlords and brokers who utilize the Workframe platform to simplify the process of finding, building out and managing corporate office spaces.

“Workframe was created to reduce the complexity of building-focused communication, and this mobile application launch is a significant milestone that will propel us toward that goal,” said Workframe Chief Executive Officer Robert Moore. “With Workframe in use across the industry, many CRE professionals have already seen the platform’s ability to keep disparate teams synchronized throughout the lifecycle of a project. With the mobile app, we’ll be able to provide the same benefits to an even greater portion of the industry.”

The new mobile platform has a number of features that will enhance the workflow of professionals overseeing large corporate facilities. Facilities managers making their daily rounds or responding to maintenance requests can now easily use their smartphones to snap pictures, annotate them, and then create and assign tasks related to the photo. For example, a facility manager can take a picture of a piece of broken equipment, share the photo with relevant team members, and assign one party the task of addressing the issue. In real time, other members of the team can see what tools will be required to make the repairs, or whether the equipment will have to be replaced.

“Our clients often talk about how Workframe streamlines communication across internal and external teams, and it’s exciting to be able to put all of that functionality in their pockets,” said Workframe Chief Technology Officer Andy Parsons. “We anticipate the app being particularly helpful to facilities managers — who will clearly benefit from the photo functionality. But we also see the app providing significant value to other professionals across the industry who are looking to stay in the loop and get things done away from their desks.”

In addition to its photo-related functionality, the app allows professionals to punch list tasks at the completion of a project; communicate with other team members; view and update project timelines and milestones; and receive push notifications to their mobile devices. In total, this powerful new app allows users to view the full lifecycle of every initiative, keeping everyone on track towards completing projects on time and within the allocated budget.

“Many of the technology solutions introduced to the real estate industry focus almost exclusively on landlords and brokers, and it’s a point of pride at Workframe that we solve pain points for corporate tenants and facilities managers, as well,” Workframe Chief Product Officer Matthew Smith. “By building the app with the same communication approach as our web tools, we’ve truly created a single platform where every building stakeholder can collaborate easily.”

For Workframe, this app launch is a significant part of the firm’s ongoing product development efforts. The firm recently announced that it raised $9.5 million in Series B funding, in a round led by CRE advisory firm Newmark Knight Frank, which is also deploying Workframe across its service lines nationwide. With the funding, Workframe has fast-tracked its product development, and anticipates rolling out significant new platform upgrades in the coming months.
