Product Release: Dual-Lite LiteGear Emergency Egress Solution

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Dual-Lite, a Hubbell Lighting Inc. brand, is proud to announce that their popular LiteGear® emergency egress series has been enhanced with the Spectron® self-testing and self-diagnostic option. The LiteGear® LG2SI compact inverter can now automatically conduct its own testing and diagnose any potential issues before an actual emergency occurs.  This new option makes the LiteGear LG2SI the smartest compact emergency lighting inverter available in the market today.
The LG2SI (LiteGear® 250 VA) unit now features a new self-testing and self-diagnostic option that performs a one minute test every 28 days and alternates a 30 minute and 60 minute test every 6 months. The Spectron® self-testing and self-diagnostic functionality features a user-activated 1 minute or 90 minute testing function with the push of a button helping to further reduce maintenance costs by having the ability to visually indicate any issues that would impede code compliance.  It also features a load-learning capability that helps ensure every test of the emergency lighting load is constant, providing a state-of-the art diagnostic tool.  These enhanced testing features enable this LiteGear®250 VA unit to increase its normal warranty from 2 years to a 5 year warranty.
As opposed to traditional battery packs, a LiteGear® inverter provides full light output for 90 minutes providing a brighter path of egress. The single-phase central lighting inverter provides emergency AC power with full lumen output for emergency lighting loads in commercial or industrial applications. The central inverter can power the same indoor or outdoor fixtures already in place for task and convenience lighting when some or all of those fixtures are designated as “emergency lighting fixtures”. Featuring a 100 -250 VA/W rating, this compact, economical interruptible power supply automatically transfers power in 2 seconds or less to lighting fixtures equipped with incandescent, fluorescent or LED lamps in an emergency situation.  The interruptible design can handle loads up to 1,000 feet away and operates with normally-on, normally-off and switched loads. Whether it’s for retrofit or new construction use, the LG2SI provides economical, inverter-derived emergency power for indoor or outdoor lighting fixtures.
