Power Charging Extension Offers Versatility

Powering classrooms and offices to meet today’s technology demand is often the biggest challenge for facilities. After all, Americans now spend five hours a day on average using mobile devices, up 20 percent since the end of 2015 (source: Flurry). But unless they were built in the last 10 years, schools and office buildings aren’t typically designed to support the device charging this usage spike demands. And the cost of tearing apart walls and floors for electrical retrofits keeps many facilities from providing enough power to charge everyone’s mobile devices simultaneously.

Enter Juice Mobile Power, an Active Charging solution from Bretford. This category-creating mobile power system, with proprietary FLI Charge technology, changes the game for IT and facility managers by delivering a safe, effective, flexible way to turn a single outlet into a power source for the entire classroom or office, at a fraction of the cost of a retrofit.

“Juice Mobile Power addresses a major gap in the world of mobile device charging,” says Chris Petrick, CEO of Bretford. “It is the industry’s first active charging solution for organizations. Now people don’t have to stop using their devices while they charge; Juice Mobile keeps them learning and working without disruption.”

Juice Mobile Power eliminates the tangled web of non-compliant, overloaded extensions cords, with a flexible solution that moves and adapts with you. Delivering safe DC power in a lightweight, portable track and pod system, it can be set up in any space that has a traditional three-pronged electrical outlet and can fit any room configuration. Through its FLI Charge safety technology, Juice Mobile Power smartly detects foreign objects on the track and instantly powers down to ensure safety. When the object is removed, the system instantly powers back up.

Available in early 2018, the Juice Mobile Power starter kit includes a compact base, a 12 foot track, two pods and a backpack carrying case. Additional tracks and pods can be added to the starter kit to accommodate larger groups and spaces.

“People are amazed by how easy it is to set up this system,” Petrick says. “Simply plug in the base, lay the track and place the pods on your desks, and it’s ready to go. Your team can get to work without worrying about battery life. Juice Mobile truly helps deliver power everywhere.”
