OSRAM SYLVANIA: Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to Install Company's LED Lighting as Next Stage of Energizing Taliesin West

Scottsdale, Ariz., and Danvers, Mass. — April 27, 2015 — The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation announced that North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA has made a significant donation of innovative LED lighting products to the Energizing Taliesin West program.

Led by energy efficiency consultant Big Green Zero, the program is focused on the goal of continuing Frank Lloyd Wright’s legacy of innovation in finding better and less expensive methods for building structures and for using them.

The donation by OSRAM SYLVANIA is made with the goal of creating energy savings and supporting environmental sustainability efforts at both of Wright’s historic estates, Taliesin West (in Scottsdale, Ariz.) and Taliesin (Spring Green, Wis.).

The company has donated a variety of energy-efficient LED lamps to be installed at both campuses, which were the personal homes and architectural laboratories of Frank Lloyd Wright during his life. The company's commitment of technologies and products that promote resourceful energy use contributes to the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation’s focus on innovation through energy efficiency continuous improvement.

Studio Lux, an international leader in architectural lighting design, translated the unique historic lighting design requirements of both historic properties into OSRAM SYLVANIA LED product specifications.

Installation of OSRAM SYLVANIA’s energy-efficient LED lamps in these two architecturally profound destinations that welcome 150,000 visitors annually will allow the foundation and its sustainable energy partner Big Green Zero to reduce the foundation’s energy expense and carbon footprint, make the energy cost savings available for preservation efforts at both sites, and provide public education about the potential for reducing energy waste and carbon footprints in both commercial or residential buildings.
