OSHA: Deadline Nears To File Injury Data

OSHA will continue accepting injury tracking data until midnight Dec. 31, 2017. It will not take enforcement action against employers that submit reports after the Dec. 15, 2017, deadline but before Dec. 31, 2017, final entry date. Starting Jan. 1, 2018, OSHA will no longer accept 2016 data.

Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, employers are responsible for providing safe and healthful workplaces for their employees. OSHA’s role is to ensure these conditions for America’s working men and women by setting and enforcing standards, and providing training, education and assistance.
