Aug. 21, 2015 — The time is now for facility management professionals to shift their focus if they expect to keep pace with change and maintain a competitive advantage. Over the past few decades, digitization has given facilities professionals the data and insights they need to operate their buildings more efficiently.
However, a recent report by CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (until recently part of Johnson Controls) indicates that success will no longer be driven by an engineering mindset and measured against operationally focused targets. Instead, the industry will shift its focus to enhancing the experience for the people who work in and visit buildings.
