NV5 Acquires Environmental Consulting Firm, Marron and Associates

NV5 Global, Inc. (the “Company” or “NV5”), a provider of professional and technical engineering and consulting solutions, announced that it has acquired Marron and Associates, Inc. (“Marron”), an environmental services firm with offices in Albuquerque and Las Cruces, New Mexico. Marron has 15 full-time professionals and is expected to add approximately $2 million a year to NV5’s existing environmental operations in Albuquerque. The acquisition was made entirely in cash and will be immediately accretive to NV5’s earnings.

In addition to providing environmental planning, natural and cultural resources, environmental site assessment, and GIS services, Marron specializes in environmental documentation preparation, particularly in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The company also has a growing Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permitting program. Marron’s professionals serve public and private clients throughout the Southwest, including the New Mexico Department of Transportation, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and U.S. Forest Service.

“Marron’s environmental planning and permitting (EP&P) practice will meaningfully enhance NV5’s environmental services vertical in a market we know quite well,” says Dickerson Wright, PE, Chairman and CEO. “Our Albuquerque team has worked with Marron in the past and we believe there are immediate synergies and opportunities for reoccurring revenue between our two companies. We also share a deep commitment to our clients and we know the reputation for high-quality work Marron has in the region.”

Marron President and CEO Shelly Herbst says, “Like NV5, Marron is committed to a seller-doer business model. Our experts and practitioners have maintained relationships with our clients for many years and by joining forces with NV5 we will be able to serve our clients even more effectively within the environmental space but also in the other engineering service verticals NV5 offers.”
