Increase Energy Efficiency and Enhance Light Distribution with New Fluorescent High Bay Warehouse Fixture from Lutron

Coopersburg, PA (August 10, 2012) – Light control manufacturer Lutron Electronics is pleased to introduce its High Bay warehouse fixture, an energy-efficient, high-performance alternative to high intensity discharge (HID) fixtures. The new High Bay fixture offers an ideal solution for new construction or retrofit projects, providing increased energy savings, greater controllability, reduced maintenance costs and an attractive return on investment (ROI), as compared to HID lighting.

 

Many traditional HID fixtures can create glare and uneven illumination known as “hot spots.” Lutron high bay fixtures provide a more evenly illuminated surface and reduce overhead glare. A variety of control options provide the flexibility to create the right light and atmosphere for any space, while quiet operation makes the lit space more versatile. Lutron High Bay fixtures are an ideal solution for new construction or retrofit applications where dimming is required, with the benefit of saving 50 – 80%1 lighting electricity when compared to traditional HID lighting fixtures.

 

Designed for indoor lighting applications in warehouses, manufacturing and retail facilities, large storage locations and supermarkets, the 2’ x 4’ luminaire offers wide beam lighting distribution for general area lighting and works flawlessly with Lutron light controls featuring EcoSystem® technology.

 

Features of the new High Bay warehouse fixture:

·        One-to-one replacement for (or alternative to) 250W or 400W HID fixture

·        Standard Lutron EcoSystem ballast (dimmable to 10%) where EcoSystem H-Series (dimmable to 1%) ballast options are available

·        Universal input voltage 120/277V~

·        2’ x 4’ foot T8 and T5HO fluorescent high bay fixtures

– 4-lamp T8 and T5HO models for pendant/chain or surface mounting

– 6-lamp T8 models for pendant/chain (suspended) or surface (recessed) mounting

– 6-lamp T5HO models for pendant/chain mounting only

·        Wide beam and narrow beam fixtures available

 

For gymnasiums, cafeterias, multi-use spaces, industrial buildings, and convention centers, Lutron offers Athlite™ fixtures designed with wireguard and optional polycarbonate lenses.
