Company’s newest high-performance paint makes any color dry erase environment possible

Ashland, Mass. — IdeaPaint, the creator of high-performance dry erase paint solutions, today announced that it has again expanded its product portfolio with the introduction ofCLEAR. A certified low-emission, virtually odorless, LEED-compliant dry erase paint, CLEAR can be applied over any type and any color of interior paint to achieve a dry erase think space that seamlessly blends with any decor. CLEAR is currently available for commercial use; IdeaPaint has plans to launch a variation of the product for general consumer use later this year.

IdeaPaint CLEAR can transform any smooth surface into a functioning “whiteboard” or “colorboard,” providing users with a limitless canvas for creativity and collaboration. IdeaPaint CLEAR may also be applied over hardwood, ceramic tile, hard plastics and other versatile surfaces. IdeaPaint CLEAR also offers roller or spray application options, and it has a 10-year warranty.

“Since we introduced the high-performance dry erase paint category in 2008, our customers have been eager for a diverse spectrum of dry erase color options,” said Bob Munroe, IdeaPaint CEO. “We realized that IdeaPaint CLEAR — which can be easily applied over any color paint — was the only way to truly meet our customers’ varied aesthetic needs. We are ecstatic to now offer an easy-to-install, low VOC, high-performance, clear dry erase product that provides the clearest finish of its kind on the market.”

Since IdeaPaint launched to the commercial marketplace nearly four years ago, the company has vastly expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of several dry erase products for consumers and a wide selection of accessories including markers, erasers and cleaner. The company has signed 6 national distributors and is available via partners in over 50 countries — translating to more than 75,000 global installations. IdeaPaint has plans to continue to bolster its ranks from 31 to 40 employees in 2012.

“CLEAR is representative of IdeaPaint’s ongoing quest to innovate and provide groundbreaking tools that allow people to maximize their creative, collaborative and organizational potential,” said Munroe. “We are excited and optimistic about our continued growth.”
