ICS Cool Energy Introduces New Range Of Heat Pumps

ICS Cool Energy has introduced a new range to its heat pumps division, ICS Heat Pumps: AW-HT 5kW – 200kW with coefficient of performance levels (COP) reaching up to 4.20.

The range has been introduced for systems where there is the need to combine high temperature water for space heating and sanitary purposes, with air conditioning. The space heating can be easily provided by using radiators, so without any major changes on the already existing distributing system available on site.

The units incorporate a complete control system for prioritised sanitary hot water production along with full weather compensated heating controls. This allows the units to function efficiently as either a medium or a high temperature heat pump with prioritised 65ºC sanitary hot water production. A reversible option for chilled water production is also available.

Unlike medium temperature heat pumps, the new AW-HT units provide an output of 65ºC in ambient temperatures as low as -12ºC, with a minimum operating temperature of -20ºC,

The units provide extremely high levels of performance and high levels of specification, which make them ideal for either new build or retrofit applications within the commercial sector.

Customers can choose to carry out a minimal amount of modifications to an existing heating system when applying a 65ºC AW-HT to a retrofit application and, as a result, can potentially gain significant benefit in terms of cost and time savings when replacing existing oil or gas fired boilers.

The full range is available with a premium efficiency rating, over the Class A, AW-HT/CA-E and AW-HT/LN-CA-E guarantee premium levels of efficiency and quietness, making the range ideal for residential and light commercial markets.
