HVAC Efficiency Target of Online Calculators

Managers and technicians can now understand the impact descaling solutions can have on bottom lines and overall HVAC efficiency. Goodway Technologies has launched several new online calculators that can show the impact of scale deposits while also helping to determine the amount of descaler required.

Managers who are responsible for maintenance of chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, compressors or condensers—it’s not a matter of why there will be scale buildup, but the question of when. Even a small amount of scale can rob your equipment of efficiency.

“Most HVAC and facility professionals understand that scale deposits negatively impact efficiency, but many don’t know just how much,” says Tim Robb, vice president with Goodway. “These free calculators offer an easy way to see how much money even the lightest scale is costing in lost efficiency, plus identify how much descaler is needed to complete a maintenance job.”

Goodway’s expanded library of free, online calculators now includes:

  • Boiler Descaling Calculator
  • Chiller Descaling Calculator
  • Cooling Tower Descaler Calculator
  • Fluid Cooler and Evaporative Condenser Calculator
  • Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger Descaling Calculator
  • ScaleBreak-Gel Calculator
  • Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger Calculator

Goodway Technologies offers both mechanical and chemical cleaning solutions for heat exchangers. ScaleBreak industrial descaling chemicals are widely used in industrial applications to safely dissolve lime scale and hard mineral deposits quickly and easily. The product line features multiple formulas to match up to the base metals and materials of the machinery being descaled. Applications include descaling boilers, cooling towers, plate and frame and shell and tube heat exchangers, pumps and any hydronic system with scale issues.

Visit www.goodway.com for additional resources and product information. In addition to offering descaler systems and chemicals, Goodway has in-house chemical engineering experts available to help analyze the scale and develop a customized solution.
