H.B. Fuller Construction Products Introduces TEC Uncoupling Membrane Mortar

AURORA, Ill. -- H.B. Fuller Construction Products announces its new TEC® Uncoupling Membrane Mortar, specifically for use with the Schluter®-DITRA uncoupling membrane and the Schluter®-KERDI waterproofing membrane.

“Our customers wanted a TEC brand mortar that was endorsed by Schluter Systems for added peace of mind from two of the most respected names in the industry”, says Grant Huffine, Senior Market Manager for H.B. Fuller Construction Products. “We listened, developed the TEC Uncoupling Membrane Mortar and worked closely with Schluter Systems to deliver.”

Endorsed by Schluter-Systems, TEC Uncoupling Membrane Mortar provides installers with confidence by offering a formula that has been developed, tested and approved with Schluter®-DITRA and Schluter®-KERDI systems.

“The TEC Uncoupling Membrane Mortar conforms to the requirements of our installation guidelines and is compatible with our systems,” says Sean Gerolimatos, Technical Director for Schluter Systems. “We are delighted that H.B. Fuller Construction Products has developed a mortar that gives customers added confidence”.

When mixed with water, the Uncoupling Membrane Mortar meets ANSI A118.1 specifications. When mixed with TEC Acrylbond® AMA acrylic latex mortar adhesive, it meets ANSI A118.4 and ANSI A118.11 specifications. The product also contributes to LEED® certification, as it uses pre-consumer recycled material.
