Guardian Is Among First Float Glass Manufacturers To Share Health Information and Content

Auburn Hills, Mich. — Jan. 15, 2015 — Guardian Industries Corp. announces that the company is now offering Health Product Declaration (HPD) information for its flat glass and coated glass products.

Designed by the non-profit Health Product Declaration Collaborative, the HPD is a voluntary, standard format for reporting product content and associated health information for building products and materials.

“Guardian supports architects and designers that want to be environmentally and socially responsible with the products they specify, and are incorporating energy efficiency and sustainability in their designs,” says Chris Dolan, director of marketing, North America, Guardian Industries Corp. “We’re offering the Guardian HPD for our commercial exterior, interior, and residential product families.”

The HPD includes Guardian’s clear low-iron and tinted glass (annealed and tempered), pattern glass (including Berman Glass editions), SatinDeco, ShowerGuard, DiamondGuard, ClimaGuard and SunGuard (low-E and reflective) products.

Architects, designers, and Guardian’s independent fabricator and glazier partners can view the Guardian HPD by visiting the Sustainability and Certifications page at SunGuardGlass.com. The HPD will soon be available via Guardian’s ecoScorecard, GreenWizard and Autodesk Seek libraries.
