Greenheck: Company's Innovation Wins State PE Governor’s Award

Schofield, Wis. — June 9, 2015 — Greenheck was awarded second place in the 2014 Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers New Product Competition in the Large Company Category for its Variable Geometry Nozzle used on laboratory exhaust systems.

The Governor’s New Product Award’s program seeks to recognize the full spectrum of benefits that come from the research and engineering of new products.

Greenheck’s variable geometry nozzle is sustainable, saves energy, and ensures that laboratory exhaust fumes are safely discharged away from the roof deck at a constant velocity.

The nozzle can be used on a variety of laboratory exhaust applications for isolation rooms, hospitals, and high school and university, forensic, pharmaceutical, bio-tech, and general-research laboratories.

According to Jim McIntyre, president and CEO of the Greenheck Group, the award validates Greenheck’s focus on innovation and continued product development.

Greenheck is the industry’s largest manufacturer of commercial, institutional, and industrial air movement, conditioning, and control equipment. The company, which began operations in 1947, is headquartered in Schofield, Wis., with eight manufacturing locations and eight distribution locations across the country and around the world.
