Atlanta — April 18, 2016 — MLS, parent company of Atlanta-based Forest Lighting, announced it has acquired 80 percent of the outstanding shares of Super Trend Lighting. MLS is among the top 10 largest packaged LED manufacturers in the world.
Super Trend Lighting, based in Hong Kong, is among the leading manufacturers of LED filament light bulbs, with over 200 models sold primarily under the Luktek brand. According to its financial statements, Super Trend Lighting’s 2015 revenue was RMB 428 million ($64.2 million).
“LED filament bulbs is a fast-growing sector for retail and commercial lighting applications, and we are pleased this acquisition will diversify our LED lamps and luminaire product offering,” said Jian Ni, COO, Forest Lighting. “This acquisition enhances our value to our distributors and other supply chain partners.”
