Hillside, Ill. — Sept. 11, 2015 — The Firestop Contractors International Association (FCIA) is strongly focused on promoting knowledge and awareness of the importance of life safety, firestopping, and effective compartmentation within the healthcare, education, and other building occupancies around the world.
Each year, FCIA hosts two industry conferences, an industry trade show, and several additional educational symposiums worldwide, as well as monthly free educational webinars.
This year’s cornerstone event, the Firestop Industry Conference & Trade Show ("FIC 2015") will take place at The Talking Stick Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz., from Nov. 3-6.
The show is focused on the "DIIM" of firestopping — proper design, installation, inspection, and maintenance/management — as well as education sessions highlighting other industry-specific topics.
Other activities include the Firestop Industry Trade Show, the FM and UL/ULC Firestop Exams, the Annual Ray Usher Memorial Golf Outing, the Annual Awards Luncheon, nightly Networking events, and a Spouse Tour.
