Eyewitness: Surveillance Reduces Theft and Loss for 4 Auto Dealerships
Hanover, Md. — Nov. 11, 2015 — Eyewitness Surveillance (Eyewitness), the industry leader in remote interactive video surveillance specializing in serving mid- and large-sized automotive dealerships, announces significant outcomes from its partnership with Beyer Auto Group.
The New Jersey-based dealerships include Beyer Ford and Beyer Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram (CDJR) in Morristown, Beyer GMC Isuzu Volvo Oshkosh in Fairview, and Beyer Fleet in East Hanover.
Before working with Eyewitness, the Beyer dealerships had a contact alarm system and a camera system in place that were not integrated with one another. With an inferior and reactive security and surveillance solution, the dealer principal, Bridget Beyer, noticed activity throughout the day and at night that resulted in loss or damaged products at the dealerships.
Beyer chose to replace the cameras with Eyewitness’ remote video surveillance technology at all four locations to be directly connected to the contact alarm system and tech services.
Since implementation, Beyer has recognized the benefits of Eyewitness’ solutions through the increase in security and decrease in theft and loss at each of the locations. Eyewitness’s interactive real-time monitoring capability has deterred numerous incidents in which the dealership or law enforcement was able to capture suspects. This resulted in little to zero loss or damage to the vehicles and high-end parts.
In a specific example, at the Beyer Chrysler Dodge, Jeep, Ram (CDJR), Eyewitness played a substantial role in protecting the dealership’s inventory, which resulted in an arrest and loss prevention of tens of thousands of dollars. Eyewitness’ Remote Surveillance Officers monitored nefarious activity and suspects who had stolen items throughout the property and dispatched the police. Eyewitness directed police to the suspect’s exact location which, in turn, led to the arrest.
“Eyewitness’ ability to monitor our four dealerships at all times has positively impacted our bottom line and operations management. In many cases, Eyewitness is the key factor in the prevention of theft and damage, which has delivered a return on investment,” Beyer said. “Eyewitness is run professionally and the team is extremely responsive. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.”
Additionally, Eyewitness’ operational solutions have impacted the Beyer locations' ability to track employee activity and determine the responsible party to pay for damages to customer vehicles.
“This partnership addresses the importance of having a superior remote video surveillance system in place. Our system is critical for dealerships with multiple locations to secure their assets and inventory. We strive to prevent crime before it happens as well as help dealerships maximize the benefits of their investment,” said Ray Schenk, regional manager, Eyewitness Surveillance.
Since its founding in 2004, Eyewitness Surveillance has established itself as a leader in remote interactive monitoring, providing cutting-edge security and operational solutions for mid-size and large car dealerships, metal recycling yards, and a variety of other fixed industrial facilities across the country.
