Expanded HVAC Line Targets Cannabis Industry

NAVAC, a supplier of HVAC vacuum pumps in addition to a wide array of tools, gauges, charging machines and other industry-specific items, will launch its new BotaniVac line of industrial vacuum pumps, recovery units and refrigerant scales ideally suited to the manufacturing needs in the fast-growing cannabis industry. The new product portfolio will debut at the NCIA’s Cannabis Business Summit & Expo, San Jose, July 26-27. At the exhibition, NAVAC will be located at Booth #1529.

In the burgeoning cannabis industry, rapid growth and an evolving regulatory environment have driven a specific set of needs pertaining to manufacturing equipment. Two factors that have come to the forefront are price point and pace, favoring equipment providers offering cost-effective, cutting-edge solutions that complement the sector’s need for flexibility and scalability.

Highlights of NAVAC’s new BotaniVac Industrial vacuum solutions include:

  • A complete line of two-stage, oil-sealed rotary vane pumps ranging in flowrate from 4 to 65 m 3 /h. The industrial pumps are the same designs used in analytical instruments and semi-conductors as well as the chemical, vacuum coatings, medical equipment (plasma sterilizers), and power industries. The pumps use high quality mineral oil, have an adjustable gas ballast, and an anti-suck-back design that protects products from oil contamination in the event of an unexpected shutdown.
  • An expedient, twin-cylinder refrigerant recovery unit featuring easy-to-use one key operation and an oil-free compressor suitable for all common refrigerants. The unit also has a self-purge function to prevent refrigerant mixing, as well as built-in protection against high pressure for added safety.
  • A set of refrigerant pumps and scales, as well as a full line of HVAC/R tools.

”We are very excited to showcase our high-quality, powerful BotaniVac industrial vacuum pumps at NCIA’s Cannabis Summit & Expo,” said Kevin Viau, Director of Sales for the BotaniVac division of NAVAC. “BotaniVac is committed to providing the cannabis industry with superior manufacturing and processing solutions, which we develop by partnering with scientists and engineers with expertise in extraction, drying and recovery.”

With more than 600 employees and sales in over 80 countries, NAVAC recently launched North American operations in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. The company created the BotaniVac line to meet the needs of the cannabis industry for powerful industrial vacuum pumps used in the extraction and drying/recovery processes.
