Defendor Specialty Herbicide Controls Dandelions Before They Bloom

INDIANAPOLIS — Dow AgroSciences announces DEFENDOR™ specialty herbicide, a new postemergence product designed to be applied when it’s too cold for other broadleaf herbicides to be effective. DEFENDOR provides early season control of unsightly dandelions, clover and other winter annual and perennial broadleaf weeds, giving lawn care operators and golf course superintendents a head start on weed control.

DEFENDOR is the perfect tank-mix partner with Dimension® 2EW specialty herbicide. It can be applied at the same time lawn care professionals are putting down the first liquid fertilizer and DIMENSION 2EW preemergence crabgrass applications of the season, offering more flexibility when scheduling applications.

Labeled for use on both cool- and warm-season turf, DEFENDOR is recommended for use on residential lawns and golf courses (fairways and roughs). It also provides activity at extremely low use rates (0.013 lb. a.i./A) when compared with other postemergence herbicides.

DEFENDOR comes in a convenient sprayable formulation and can be applied in late fall to early spring. Because DEFENDOR™ specialty herbicide provides control of some high-anxiety weeds before they bloom, lawn care professionals can save time and money by reducing callbacks and increasing customer satisfaction.

State registrations for DEFENDOR are pending. For more information, visit www.DowProvesIt.com.
