Daikin Applied: Company Named as a Contract Holder for the Cooperative Purchasing Network TCPN

Minneapolis — Sept. 17, 2015 — Daikin Applied has been awarded a national contract by TCPN’s lead government agency, Region 4 Education Service Center. TCPN is one of the fastest-growing cooperative purchasing organizations in the nation.

Schools, states, and local governments now have more options as they seek the latest HVAC equipment and solutions to create more energy efficient and comfortable building environments.

The contract was awarded at the conclusion of a competitive bidding process designed to give TCPN members a stronger position when it comes to buying commonly purchased products and services. When members choose Daikin HVAC equipment, systems, and comprehensive HVAC maintenance services, they gain access to innovation and experts as well as buying power that they otherwise would not find.

As an approved vendor to TCPN, members will have access to Daikin’s full scope of advanced technology solutions ranging from residential and light industrial to commercial HVAC systems. TCPN members will also be able to easily access Daikin Applied’s comprehensive services, which include maintenance agreements and repair services, and turnkey solutions for HVAC system replacement and upgrades, as well as start-up services and rental chillers for temporary cooling.

“We’re pleased to join TCPN in serving its members with our proven HVAC solutions. TCPN members will find our team ready to step in and design and deliver total building efficiency,” said Kirk Thorne, executive vice president, sales and marketing, at Daikin Applied. “We understand they need flexible, energy-efficient comfort solutions that meet environmental and fiscal goals. We’re prepared to help TCPN members in any way we can with differentiated technology and services.”

In recent years, investments made by Daikin have resulted in innovative technologies that advance HVAC performance, reliability, and energy efficiency needs, such as Magnitude magnetic bearing chillers that deliver 40 percent more efficiency than standard chillers and Rebel commercial rooftop systems that create air conditioning part-load energy efficiencies (as high as 20.6 IEER) that overwhelmingly surpass ASHRAE's 90.1 performance standard by 84 percent.
