Cushman Introduces 8K Tug with Higher Towing Capacity
AUGUSTA, Ga. — Cushman® announces the new 8K Tug, featuring an advanced pulley system for a towing capacity of up to 8,000 pounds. Cushman vehicles are manufactured by the E-Z-GO® Division of Textron Inc.
"We designed the new 8K Tug to include many of the features our customers relied upon from the original 5K Tug, but with the ability to tow substantially larger loads," said Darryl Heffline, vice president of commercial business at Cushman. "This new addition to our Tug series will increase our customers’ productivity and give them an additional product option to meet the specific needs of their operation."
The Cushman 8K Tug has a silent, zero-emissions 36-volt DC powertrain, two-wheel hydraulic brakes, and simplified controls for safe use and ease of operation in moving materials through factories, distribution centers and other indoor facilities. The 8K Tug can carry a payload of up to 650 pounds on its rear cargo deck. Its top speed of 6 mph balances the need for efficient operation and safety in the tight spaces and busy corridors of indoor work environments.
Factory options and dealer-installed accessories for the Cushman 8K Tug include a steering wheel (vs. the standard handlebars), foam-filled tires, portable charger, headlight, front hydraulic brake, EE certification module, CE certification, hour meter, lift-out battery tray and a clevis or pintle hitch.
No matter the load, you can count on the Cushman 8K Tug to pull its weight so any job gets done quickly and efficiently. For more information about the new Cushman 8K Tug, visit cushman.com.
