Cooper Lighting Introduces the Halo LED Recessed Downlighting System

The ML56 series offers multiple lumen packages, four color temperatures and unique trim options
for both 5-inch and 6-inch recessed housings.

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – Cooper Lighting, a leader at the forefront of transforming the lighting industry and setting an unmatched standard for innovation and reliability, is pleased to introduce the Halo ML56 LED Recessed Downlighting System. The comprehensive system features LED downlight modules available in multiple wattages/lumen packages and color temperatures that are interchangeable with dedicated 5-inch and 6-inch downlight and directional trims. The extensive trim collection features industry breakthroughs, including Halo-exclusive wall wash trims with a repositionable kick reflector and shower-rated baffles. The ML56 family, which is ENERGY STAR®-qualified for both residential and commercial applications, offers up to $400 in energy and replacement savings over the life of the fixture.

The ML56 LED Recessed Downlighting System is designed for new construction, remodeling or retrofit into both 5-inch and 6-inch standard and shallow recessed housings by Halo, All-Pro or compatible recessed housings. The available color temperatures include 2700 K, 3000 K, 3500 K and 4000 K options with either an 80 CRI (minimum) or 90 CRI (minimum) option depending on the model selected. The series offers two lumen packages, including the 600 series (9.0 watts/80 CRI and 10.2 watts/90 CRI) and 900 series (13.4 watts/80 CRI or 90 CRI). The 600 series offers up to 708 lumens and the 900 series produces up to 1,010 lumens depending on the trim and color temperature selection.

The ML56 light modules feature an inside frost lens that has the familiar look of a typical R/BR-type lamp for visual comfort and aesthetic familiarity, while offering uniform illumination. With this traditional look, the ML56 trim collection offers a complete vocabulary of 26 trims (5-inch and 6-inch), including reflectors and baffles in Halo’s popular color selection of White, Black, Specular, Haze, Satin Nickel and Tuscan Bronze. In addition, the ML56 trim collection features attractive low-profile directional LED eyeballs, non-conductive “dead-front” shower-rated baffles, and Halo-exclusive wall wash trims with a repositionable kick reflector allowing for
fine-tuning adjustment of the wall wash effect.

The ML56 series is designed to deliver more than 70 percent of initial lumens at 50,000 hours or 22 years (based on six hours average use per day) and is dimmable down to 15 percent with standard dimmers or 5 percent with select dimmers. The system can provide up to $400 in energy and lamp replacement savings over the life of the fixture when compared to a 65-watt BR30 lamp and based on $0.11 per kilowatt hour and six hours average use per day at 50,000 hours.

The series is wet and damp location listed (protected ceilings), RoHS complaint, and can be used for
IECC-International Energy Conservation Code, WSEC-Washington State Energy Code, and California Title 24 High Efficacy compliance. The series is Lighting Facts® listed and is AIR-TITE™ and IP66 Ingress Protection rated with reflector and baffle trims.
