Cooper B-Line Introduces All-New TOLCO Fig. 4LA

UL Listed and FM Approved Seismic Bracing Attachment

New seismic brace attachment offers labor-saving benefits, longitudinal and lateral brace orientation and visual verification

HIGHLAND, IL – Cooper B-Line, a division of diversified power management company Eaton, is providing end users with additional labor savings and bracing options with its new TOLCO™ Fig. 4LA seismic bracing attachment. Available for piping sizes ranging from one to 12 inches, the seismic product offering is ideal for a wide range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and fire sprinkler seismic bracing applications for the commercial, healthcare, military or government markets.

Manufactured from carbon steel, the new TOLCO™ Fig. 4LA is designed to brace piping against sway and seismic disturbances. For added labor savings, the Fig. 4LA is pre-assembled with all of the necessary pieces and components which do not require additional assembly. The inherent universal design also allows the product to be utilized in both longitudinal and lateral applications.

For simple, secure installation, the TOLCO Fig. 4LA seismic brace attachment offers visual verification of installation with three break-off head fasteners. Especially important for the installer, visual verification ensures a proper installation without the use of a torque wrench or other means. It also allows for easy inspection by any local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).

“The launch of our TOLCO™ Fig. 4LA gives our end users more options for installation,” said Greg Shaughnessy, product line manager for seismic bracing, B-Line Division. “In addition to its ability to be used in a wide range of applications either longitudinally or laterally, it also accommodates pipes ranging in size from one to 12 inches. It can be used for bracing small diameter pipe, like med-gas or fuel gas lines, for larger 10” or 12” plumbing and mechanical pipe runs, or in large sprinkler mains. This is especially important as those specific installations are required to be braced per the International Building Code (IBC).”

All Figure 4LA seismic braces are UL listed, FM approved and can be used in global MEP seismic bracing applications.
