Carlisle Introduces RhinoBond for Sure-Flex PVC

(Carlisle, PA) – Carlisle SynTec Systems, a leading manufacturer of single-ply roofing materials, is pleased to introduce the RhinoBond Fastening System for its mechanically fastened Sure-Flex PVC roofing systems. RhinoBond, developed by Olympic Manufacturing Group (OMG), is an alternative insulation and membrane attachment system that uses special hot-melt fastening plates to secure both the insulation and Sure-Flex PVC membrane to the deck without penetrating the roofing material.  The result is an FM-approved assembly that provides decreased labor costs, requires fewer fasteners than traditional mechanically attached systems and provides superior wind uplift performance.

“Carlisle is proud to be using the innovative RhinoBond system on its PVC assemblies,” said John Greko, Carlisle’s PVC product manager.  “It truly does benefit every party involved in a roofing project, from the applicator to the building owner.”

Benefits of the RhinoBond system include a more evenly distributed wind load, less rooftop membrane flutter, and Factory Mutual uplift ratings of up to 180-psf.  RhinoBond allows large areas of the roof to be dried-in quickly and can save three inches of material with no in-seam fastening when using 81-inch-wide or 10-foot-wide sheets.
