Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Solutions' Radiant Ceiling Systems

Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Solutions has expanded its portfolio of high performance products with the addition of radiant ceiling systems that sustainably heat and cool spaces. The expansion is a result of the company’s acquisition of Steel Ceilings, Inc., a manufacturer of standard and custom aluminum and steel ceilings including the Airtite™ line of radiant heating and cooling ceiling systems.

MetalWorks Airtite radiant ceiling systems circulate hot or cold water through concealed copper tubing on the back of the panels, providing sustainable heating and cooling with minimal air ventilation requirements. Airtite hydronic radiant ceiling systems also heat and cool a space more efficiently than traditional heating and cooling systems, resulting in significant energy savings while providing temperature control and increased occupant comfort.

Airtite Line Includes Six Types of Panels

The MetalWorks Airtite line of radiant ceilings includes six types of panels including both extruded and modular panels that fit the look, space, and energy requirements of many types of applications. When backed with an acoustic infill, perforated panels can also provide noise control.

The surfaces of the energy efficient panels heat up and cool down quickly and are uniformly heated or cooled, eliminating hot and cold air drafts. The panels can be incorporated in a variety of ceiling systems including lay-in and torsion spring to provide unrestricted floor space and layout flexibility since there is no need for floor-mounted heating systems.
