Acme Electric has released updated Medium Voltage Transformers designed for a wide range of demanding applications, while minimizing both installation and maintenance costs. These dry-type transformers are for use in commercial, industrial and institutional settings. Acme Electric, part of Hubbell's Commercial Construction brands, provides innovative electrical products to OEM, industrial and commercial markets.
Acme's medium voltage transformer line is air cooled by natural convection in NEMA 1 cases. Smaller and easier to maintain than liquid-filled transformers, they require no additional fireproofing. These 2.5kV and 5K class transformers exceed DOE 2016 Energy Efficiency standards.
The single phase models are offered in 9 standard voltage combinations ranging from 15-500kVA. The three phase models are offered in 18 standard voltage combinations that range from 15-2000kVA. The design of these transformers can be quickly customized to meet requirements for special applications. Available modifications include:
