Lift Targets Hard To Reach Roof Inspections

Recently training was done for the maintenance crew at the Oculus in New York City by Ground Zero for the 9/11 Memorial and World Trade Center. United Rentals and Teupen worked together to get this customer a TL156AX. This machine model is the largest in the Teupen LEO Series.

The “Big Fella” is an impressively large boom with a compact dimension. It has a platform height of 156 feet, 6 inches, and a working height of 162 feet, 6 inches. It has a lateral reach of 49 feet, 10 inches. The machine is 5 feet, 3 inches wide. It is 6 feet, 6 inches in height and in total it weighs 29,762 pounds.

This TL156AX was used for maintenance, cleaning, and most importantly to get their inspection done. The top of the Oculus is a hard to reach area and the TL156AX from Teupen was the only machine that could get the job done. The floor load and access points is really why the customer had decided to get the “Big Fella.”
