Facilities Credential Offers Free Scholarship

The facility management industry is currently facing a crucial period of change, and is requiring more of its professionals than ever before. To help support FMs through this change, and to elevate the profession as a whole, the Professional Facility Management Institute (ProFMI) is proud to announce a new scholarship program, Elevating the FM Profession (EFM) Scholarship Program.

The scholarship program will offer three fully funded scholarships for the ProFM Credential Program yearly: the Veterans Award, the Students Award, and the Professionals Award. Each award includes the entire ProFM Credential Program, including study materials and final assessments, to help facility professionals gain the knowledge and skills they need to not only succeed in the changing industry, but continue shaping its trajectory in the future.

The scholarship awards were designed to support three important and growing pathways to the profession. The Veterans Award will be given to a veteran of the U.S. military who is seeking to transition back into the workforce. The Student Award will be given to a student currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program with an interest in the facility management profession. Lastly, the Professionals Award will be given to a current facility management professional with at least five years of experience who is seeking to enhance their FM knowledge and skills.

To be considered, applicants must complete the scholarship application, and submit a short essay explaining why elevating their FM knowledge and skills is important, and how they foresee the credential impacting their career over the next five years.
