Redesigned Chainsaws Aim To Enhance Productivity

Husqvarna, has announced the availability of its new chainsaw generation and Arborist Essentials across North America. The new line of saws includes two brand new saws in the 70cc class, the company’s lightest professional gas-powered tree care saw ever, as well as two 50cc saws completely redesigned from scratch – launching an entirely new generation of cutting excellence as Husqvarna celebrates its 60th chainsaw anniversary.

“We are not just launching new saws – we are launching an entirely new generation of chainsaws which are the culmination of 60 years of innovation in technology and engineering to provide forestry and tree care professionals with the best saws to cut more, better and longer,” said Earl Bennett, President of Husqvarna Brand Division North America. “We are redefining the 50cc and 70cc segments by setting a new standard for performance, durability and maneuverability.”

The new generation of saws were designed and built from scratch on a completely new platform on the same grounds in Sweden where Husqvarna’s chainsaw history began in 1959. True to Husqvarna’s chainsaw heritage, they offer a user-centric design that keeps the forestry and tree care professional in mind. The well-balanced saw body with low gyroscopic forces provides excellent maneuverability and handling, enabling users to work longer without tiring. With an updated version of Autotune, the new saws offer a faster calibration time, while the new engine design increases productivity which in turn minimizes environmental impact.

Husqvarna 572XP and 565
Pushing the boundaries of innovative product design, the Husqvarna 572XP (MSRP: starting at $999.95) spearheads this new chainsaw generation by delivering a 12 percent higher cutting capacity over similarly sized Husqvarna saws, making it an ideal saw for those looking to increase output and productivity. The new engine design offers a wide usable RPM range for peak performance, while its excellent new cooling capacity provides for a longer engine life. The new state-of-the-art filtration system provides longer and better filtration and therefore a healthier engine and optimized performance. Weighing just 14.5 lbs and equipped with a powerful 5.8 hp engine, the 572XP has a better power-to-weight ratio than any other comparable Husqvarna saw.

The Husqvarna 565 (MSRP: starting at $939.95) delivers next-generation cutting performance, also in the 70cc class, that lets professionals work faster and more efficiently. It comes equipped with excellent cooling capacity, state-of-the art filtration, AutoTune and Air Injection and offers low vibration. The efficient air injection system filters out 98 percent of incoming dust to deliver full working days with maintained performance and less wear on the engine.

Husqvarna 550XP Mark II and 545 Mark II
The redesign of the new 550XP Mark II and 545 Mark II chainsaws ushers in a new level of cutting capacity, maneuverability and endurance with a 13 percent higher cooling capacity compared to the previous generation of 50cc chainsaws from Husqvarna.

The Husqvarna 550 XP Mark II (MSRP: starting at $599.95) was designed for demanding use in felling, limbing and bucking operations. The saw delivers maximum power in the 50cc class and was developed to deliver outstanding cutting capacity for handling small and mid-sized trees. Designed for professional forestry and tree care crews, this durable saw has improved power and a slimmed-down design. A host of innovative features guarantees comfortable and efficient operation, season after season. Through a series of internal tests*, Husqvarna has shown that the 550 XP Mark II provides best-in-class cutting capacity when compared to the closest competitor in the 50cc segment.

The Husqvarna 545 Mark II (MSRP: starting at $539.95) is a powerful and durable 50cc saw for forestry and tree care professionals looking for endurance in their daily use. It has more power over a wider RPM range compared to the previous model, and its low, slender saw body design makes the chainsaw easy and convenient to handle in any situation.

Lightest Tree Care Saw
Additionally, Husqvarna launches the Husqvarna T525 (MSRP: $489.95), which was designed to be the company’s lightest gas-powered tree care saw for full-time professional use. It includes a powerful, low-emission X-Torq engine for professional performance, ease of use and safety for all pruning and trimming jobs. This new 27cc saw features a quick release air filter cover that saves time when cleaning or changing the saw’s spark plug or filter. The belt eyelet makes it easy to connect the saw to the climbing harness, and the auto return stop switch means the saw automatically resets to the ON position for easier starting.

New Arborist Helmets and Arborist Essentials
Complementing Husqvarna’s strong and innovative 2019 forestry offerings, the company also recently launched a new line of arborist helmets and equipment essentials, designed for the professional arborist looking for comfort, safety and style. This limited assortment of line setting, climbing and positioning equipment can be found in almost every arborist’s gear bag. The new Arborist Essentials were developed with tree care professionals for tree care professionals and can now be conveniently found at local Husqvarna dealers.

The helmets come as Class C or Class E variations, depending on if the user is working near power lines, and three different visor versions: clear, mirror and smoke. Both helmets meet ANSI and CSA requirements, and come with universal fit and depth adjustment settings as well as wheel ratchet adjustment along with a 3-year warranty – Class C is also ventilated. Husqvarna Elevation– Class C Arborist Helmet and Husqvarna Spire– Class E Arborist Helmet are both available for MSRP: $139.95.

Expanded X-Cut Chain Series
Husqvarna has also expanded its line of X-Cut chainsaw chains (MSRP: starting at $22.95).

Designed with tree care professionals in mind, X-Cut chains provide the performance, durability and quality cut that they demand. Now available in four different versions, these chains were designed, developed and manufactured in Sweden – from the materials to the final product. In addition to the already available X-Cut SP33G low-vibration pixel chain, Husqvarna has released the new X-Cut C83 (.050 gauge) and C85 (.058 gauge) models, adding full chisel 3/8-inch pitch chains for professional use to the series. They were designed to provide the durability, cutting performance and out-of-the-box sharpness customers have come to expect with Husqvarna’s X-Cut assortment. The new X-Cut S93G (.050 gauge) further expands the series by introducing a semi chisel 3/8-inch mini chain designed for professional top-handle and lower cc saws.

“We’re excited to offer a complete solution for arborists and tree care professionals,” said Bennett. “From top-of-the-line saws for every size and application to chains, bars, protective equipment and accessories required to get the job done – Husqvarna is a one-stop solution.”
