Cordless Power Tools Enhance Jobsite Productivity

Makita U.S.A., Inc. showcases a cordless job site this week at World of Concrete in Las Vegas. Trade show attendees are invited to experience the advantages of taking on a full range of concrete applications without the hassles and expense of power cords.

The Cordless Job Site
A cordless job site is no longer a vision, but reality. From formwork to drilling and surfacing, Makita offers the essential tools for concrete contractors. A cordless job site improves a user’s work environment and enhances the work experience.

Makita has over 100 years of engineering legacy and a continual drive to innovate. The knowledge and experience gained has led to an expanding range of cordless tools for users on the job site. With over 200 cordless solutions, including woodworking, metalworking, landscaping, and concrete, essential tasks can be performed utilizing the world's largest 18V lithium-ion battery tool system.

The Technology that Drives a Cordless Job Site

Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion System
Users will experience new levels of convenience, efficiency, and productivity with Makita’s 18V LXT system. With high amp-hour batteries, efficient brushed and brushless motors, and 18V LXT technology, Makita 18V LXT tools are engineered to meet and exceed the performance of corded counterparts. The LXT Advantage is about utilizing a single cordless platform powered by the industry's fastest-charging 18V lithium-ion batteries.

Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS)
Makita's Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) uses Bluetooth® technology for wireless power-on and power-off communication between the equipped tool and dust extractor. Once connected via AWS™, the dust extractor will automatically power on or off when the cordless tool starts or stops, running only when the cordless tool is in use. This extends the battery run time of the dust extractor, increasing productivity on a single charge, reduces wasted time reconnecting the hose, and lowers noise at the job or work site.

Dust Management
Makita also provides the options users need to build an OSHA compliant system. With more cordless and corded solutions to reduce concrete silica dust on the job site, Makita has an expanding dust extraction system with vacuums, accessories and attachments for use in concrete drilling, breaking, surfacing and cutting applications.
