Expanded HVAC Line Offers Improved Versatility

Lochinvar is expanding its flagship CREST Condensing Boiler line with models tested in the elements and built for the outdoors. The CREST series now boasts six models ranging from 750,000 to 2 million Btu/hr optimized for outdoor commercial installations.

Designed and tested to withstand intense environmental factors, the Outdoor CREST boiler endures strong winds, downpours and UV exposure.

“Commercial facility managers know the performance, durability and efficiency the CREST Condensing Boiler product line offers,” says Mike Lahti, vice president of sales, marketing and business development. “The new outdoor models protect that reliable Lochinvar technology in a weather-resistant case and give facilities more flexibility in maximizing mechanical room space.”

The outdoor models are highly efficient on both space and energy. The more compact units offer a significant space savings for large public and commercial facilities like school systems, universities and libraries. The option to install the unit outside adds more than 200 usable square feet to any space. These models also feature a 96 percent thermal efficiency rating.

The new Outdoor CREST models come standard with the CON•X•US® remote connectivity platform. CON•X•US technology allows commercial facility managers and building owners to monitor and adjust equipment controls from a mobile app available on most smart devices.

Lochinvar’s easy-to-use SMART TOUCH control system is also built into every outdoor model. With an eight-inch touchscreen and multi-color interface, installers will find setup simple and easy to navigate.

To ensure maximum convenience and reliability, as many as eight CREST boilers can be cascaded together for redundancy to provide reliable performance even if units are offline for maintenance. This redundancy provides peace of mind without third-party controls or complex logic programming.

The American-made Outdoor CREST line launches as a counterpart to the already popular CREST Condensing Boiler suite which launched in 2011 and features 12 indoor models ranging from 750,000 to 6 million Btu/hr.
