New FM Software Hits the Market
One Spot is a new-to-market property management platform designed to streamline tasks and improve efficiency for property and facility management teams. The platform, designed by Twin Cities-based co-founders Rich Byrne and Steve Bartz, fills an important market gap in the property management technology space. The One Spot management team identified the opportunity to fill the needs of commercial teams based on decades of experience in the field across a wide portfolio of properties, and through extensive user research in the past 24 months.
“Every single day across the globe, property and facility management teams face the challenge of completing their work on time, on budget and with 100 percent accuracy,” says Keith Pelatowski, CEO of One Spot. “Managing a portfolio of properties, particularly across a wide geography, can be time-consuming and inefficient. Our technology will bring property management teams together, in collaboration, and allow property owners and managers to eliminate wasted time and empower them to focus on the completion of projects, with real-time transparency. One Spot will also increase the effectiveness of planning and budgeting, for projects big and small.”
To ensure the platform would successfully address the complex set of market needs, One Spot conducted a series of pilot programs throughout 2017 among 30 property management companies in the Twin Cities. Maintaining its commitment to user-centered design, One Spot utilized customer feedback to drive the development and functionality of the software. The team believes this approach will lead to faster adoption and implementation, and ultimately, a more valuable end product.
"One Spot helps property managers organize all of their projects in a single location, collaborate effectively with their team, and provide them with the data they need to make critical decisions,” says Jim Humphrey of Twin Cities Leasing. “By eliminating the busy work that plagues property managers on a daily basis and impacting the bottom line, One Spot delivers a value proposition that is compelling for any company regardless of the technology currently in place."
“We clearly see a real need in the market for the features in our platform, and therefore we will relentlessly pursue excellence in our delivery to our growing customer base,” Pelatowski says.
One Spot initiated a limited launch on January 2, 2018, and now continues to expand into other markets throughout 2018 with its recent full commercial launch. “We are excited that the time has come for our solution to impact the lives of our customers, their teams, and their tenants,” Pelatowski says.
