Flush Valve Aims to Prevent Legionella
ThermOmegaTech, a designer and manufacturer of self-actuating temperature control technology, introduces its newest valve in the CircuitSolver line: the CircuitSolver Sanitary Flush (CSUSF) valve. This CSUSF allows for higher water temperatures to flow through the system during the disinfection process to protect against Legionella growth.
“This new valve allows for protection against Legionella growth in systems capable of high temperature flush disinfection processes,” says Nick Tallos, vice president of engineering with ThermOmegaTech. “We saw a need, especially in hospitals and healthcare settings, for a sanitary flush valve and this technology provides a convenient and reliable solution.”
CircuitSolver is a thermostatic self-actuating balancing valve that continuously adjusts the flow through each branch of a domestic hot water recirculation system to maintain the specified temperature at the end of the branches. The CSUSF valve uses two high thrust actuators to control the temperature and flow of water through a branch. A low temperature actuator maintains standard balancing temperature, while a high temperature actuator allows for high temperature sanitary flushing of the system.
The CircuitSolver Sanitary Flush valve is tamper proof and is the ideal solution for a reliable and automatic high temperature flush. It is a direct replacement for manual balancing valves and eliminates balancing labor and callbacks. The CSUSF valve is constructed of all stainless steel, is corrosion resistant, and is pending NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 certifications. It also has a long service life and comes with a 3-year warranty.
ThermOmegaTech will be introducing the valve at the Canadian Mechanical & Plumbing Exposition (CMPX) from March 21-23 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The product release is set for mid-April 2018.
