Customers now crave enhanced speed to market, according to several prominent Butler Builder® dealers. Shorter schedules topped their list of the largest changes they’ve seen in customer requests throughout 2016.
This demand strongly aligns with the benefits of a systems construction approach, and at least one builder reports seeing increased interest in using systems like Butler outside of the warehousing and manufacturing sectors.
“We’ve seen a lot of interest in using Butler for creative office or retail spaces, not just industrial environments,” said Greg Darling, vice president, Bremco Construction, Inc.
Additionally, participating Butler Builder dealers indicated their customers continue to be or are more interested in creating better working environments for their employees.
“Energy codes, enhanced employee productivity and comfort, and even, to some degree, employee retention have been reasons we are seeing interest,” said Tom Gunsinger, president, Bel-Con Design Builders Ltd.
Daylighting also continues to gain traction, with a handful of participating builders reporting an uptick in sales for daylighting system units. Builders cited the desire to incorporate natural light as a primary driver for daylighting sales, ahead of energy efficiency.
