Eaton: Uninterruptible Power System Now Certified for Emergency Lighting Applications
Power management company Eaton recently announced that its 93PM uninterruptible power system (UPS) is now UL 924-certified for emergency lighting applications, providing the highest power capacity and double-conversion efficiency in the industry.
Available from 20-120 kilovolt-amperes (kVA), Eaton’s newest solution is designed to meet the strict standards for UL 924 emergency lighting regulatory compliance, while also reducing power and cooling operating expenses through its efficiency and scalable architecture.
Emergency lighting requirements and related building codes are vital in commercial structures to facilitate safe occupant egress during a building fire or other emergency situation. Eaton’s 93PM UL 924 emergency lighting UPSs are configured to meet regulatory requirements with external line and match battery cabinets for 90 minutes of reliable backup power.
In accordance with UL 924 standards, Eaton’s latest solution also features a manually operated interface that removes the risk of accidental operation and non-authorized users for enhanced safety.
Backed by Eaton’s 24/7 service team, the 93PM UL 924 UPS helps reduce operating expenses through its efficiency of up to 97 percent in double-conversion mode and up to 99 percent with Eaton’s Energy Saver System (ESS) technology, which comes standard on 93PM UL 924 units.
In addition to helping users save money on expenses in their facilities, the 93PM UL 924 UPS conserves valuable floor space with its small footprint and innovative maintenance capabilities.
Additionally, with Eaton’s PredictPulse remote monitoring service, which comes free for the first year for all 93PM UL 924 users, monitoring and managing emergency lighting UPS equipment is easier than ever. PredictPulse collects and analyzes data from connected power infrastructure devices, providing Eaton with the insight necessary to make recommendations and take action on behalf of its customers.
