PPG: Company Adds SageGlass to Marketing Alliance Partnership Program

Pittsburgh — April 13, 2016 — PPG announced that it is adding SageGlass, a Minnesota-based manufacturer of the world’s smartest electrochromic glass and a product of Saint-Gobain, to its Marketing Alliance Partnership Program.

The agreement enables PPG to promote SageGlass in communication and promotional activities with the goal of helping architects design more sustainable, visually compelling, and comfortable buildings.

SageGlass controls sunlight to optimize daylight, outdoor views, and comfort while preventing the glare, fading, and overheating that sunlight can cause.

Electronically tintable SageGlass is an ideal complement to tinted and low-emissivity (low-e) glasses by PPG, which can be specified for adjacent sections of a building facade that do not require the dynamic capabilities of switchable glass.

SageGlass electrochromic glass includes standard double- and triple-pane insulating glass units (IGUs) in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors that can be integrated into most framing systems.

“PPG has exceptional brand strength built on a long history of innovative products, reliable service, and technical prowess. We are proud to partner with them,” said Dr. Alan McLenaghan, CEO, SageGlass. “Between PPG and SageGlass, we will be able to reach more architects than ever with our industry-leading technology. This joint effort will help further the growth of occupant-sensitive building design, while also providing building owners with energy-saving benefits.”
