Feb. 17, 2016 — National Grid has awarded contracts to two facilities management service providers following a competitive tender process.
The chosen providers, 14Forty, a division of Compass Group UK and Ireland, and CBRE will work together overseeing soft and hard facilities management services for the entire National Grid estate.
In a new style of operating model, CBRE will provide hard services relating to the building, its systems, and critical engineering work, with 14Forty delivering soft services, including ground maintenance. In addition, 14Forty will have an integration role to ensure that the end user receives a seamless service as the two providers work together to provide services and solutions.
The contracts begin on April 1, 2016, for soft services and June 1, 2016, for hard services.

National Grid is one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world, covering Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, and the UK.
